1. How do payments work?
At Blue Seven Content, we want to make the payment process as simple as possible. We really appreciate all of our clients, and we think we’ve developed a system that is fair for all of us.
- We start working on your order after we receive half of the payment upfront (we will gladly take the entire payment if that works better for your system).
- We go ahead and complete the entire order.
- We release half of the content to you.
- You pay us for the remainder of the bill.
- We release the second half of the content to you.
We can’t start work on your order until we get the first half of the payment. Each of our writers agrees that this is the best way to ensure the quality and integrity of the content we produce. All too often, we’ve finished work, sent it to a client, and then not received payment.
To that end, our contracts are really simple and straightforward. When we send the contract over, you’ll see the details of what we discussed and a place for both of us to place our mark.
2. What do we need from you?
We will need very little from you before we start working on your content order. Obviously, we’ll need some basic information about your firm:
- Your website URL
- The geographic locations you want us to target
- The topics you want us to cover in the pages or blogs
- Anything else you want us to know
We will do what we can to get our pages to match the tone of your website while also bringing our creativity to the process. Collectively, we’ve written thousands upon thousands of pages for law firms, so we don’t need a ton of direction.
3. Why are your prices higher than other content providers?
We understand that all businesses and law firms are worried about spending valuable assets on marketing. To that end, we acknowledge that we are not the cheapest content service providers available. That is on purpose, and we will never strive to be “cheap.”
By charging a fair rate for our services, we are able to recruit and retain the best writers for the job. We hire only experienced writers who take the time to get your page completed correctly. Every writer on our team is US-based. English is their first language.*
One of our $85 pages could lead to tens of thousands of dollars of business for your firm, just to put the pricing into perspective. In the content writing business, you get what you pay for.
4. Why should we work with you and not a full-service marketing agency?
Let’s be honest – marketing firms charge a ton of money for services you may not even use. Many of you want to control your own website and are fully capable of uploading pages to your domain. However, you may not be that great at creating content that is good for a Google search.
We focus on providing content that is Original, Researched, and Optimized.
- Original. We are not copying other people’s work. We write every page and blog from scratch. Even if we have to write 4 different car accident pages for your firm, all 4 will be different.
- Researched. We take the time to get to know the topic and use statistics and data from official government sources and accredited news agencies. This research will be incorporated into the pages and blog posts seamlessly.
- Optimized. We understand how keywords work and why they are important. We will use appropriate SEO keywords and phrases throughout each page. These will be optimized to your practice area as well as your geographic area, and they will flow seamlessly within the writing.
Another note on marketing firms – Allen Watson, our CEO, started his content writing career by working with law firm marketing firms. He values the experience he gained there and believes that the right marketing firm can provide lawyers with excellent growth. Blue Seven is not the “whole package” marketing form, and does not strive to be.
Marketing firms become the middle-man when it comes to writers – they pay them less because they also have to pay for various other services (graphic design, website development, project managers, SEO teams, and more). Because we specialize in content only, we are able to cut out the middle man, pay our writers well, take on less work, and get the right content to your firm.
5. How long will it take to finish an order?
The amount of time it will take our workers to finish your pages or blogs will vary depending on several factors. This includes how many pages you have ordered, how much research we need to do to get your page done appropriately, and the level of communication we receive from you. We have been doing this so long that we can generally get your work completed without too much input on your end. However, there may be times we need to seek clarification.
We try to get your work done as quickly as possible while also being able to deliver quality work. If you order one or two pages, it probably won’t take more than a day or two to get the content back to you. If you have a larger order, such as 10 to 20 practice area pages, we may ask that you give us a week or two for turn-around time. When you call or email us for a free consultation, it will provide you with our best estimate for how long it will take to complete your order.
6. Why do you need half of the payment upfront?
It is generally good business practice to get half of the payment upfront. That reduces the risk on our end as well as yours. We have tried billing clients for the entirety of their orders when we finish the work in the past, but there are too many times that we have completed an order and not been paid. We’re all about honesty here at Blue Seven Content, so let’s be honest – we want to get paid for the services we provide, just like you want your clients to pay you after you help them.
7. Do you provide revisions for your content?
Yes, we do provide a revision for your content. We understand that not everything we provide will be exactly what you want to first time we send it to you. We do offer a round of revisions, so long as the work is not a complete re-do (if we get something 100% wrong, we’ll completely rework it). We want you to get the content you need, so we’ll make sure the work is done correctly.
8. Why are some of the pages you provide similar?
All of our work is original, but there are going to be times when some practice area pages seem very similar. For example, if you are a Los Angeles personal injury law firm and want to target a wider audience for car accident clients, you may have a car accident page for LA, Malibu, Beverly Hills, Long Beach, etc. When we write these pages, they will each be original, but they will all be drawing on the same information. The major differences will be the geographic keywords we use so that Google will pick up the pages when a client from each respective city is looking for help.
*Disclaimer – At Blue Seven Content, we do not discriminate. The reason we work with those whose first language is English is because our language is complicated. It is very difficult for any person who learns English as a second language to fully grasp the nuances of the language. We do not want anything less than native English to come through on the pages we provide for your firm.
9. Do you use ChatGPT to write legal content?
No. Yes. Both. Blue Seven Content has been at the forefront of ChatGPT exploration when it comes to writing legal content, and we’ve determined that, right now, this should be a tool – just like any other writer tool. Our writers will never rely on ChatGPT for law firm content creation. There are simply too many things that can go wrong, not the least of which is plagiarism and incorrect information. If we put something into ChatGPT, it’s usually to give us some ideas of a direction to take, but we take research and writing (by humans) seriously. This is a craft that takes years to learn.
